Koch Applied Assists HTL Technologies with Propane Powered Track Dryer for NASCAR
Koch Applied customer, HTL Technologies, has formed a new partnership with NASCAR to supply its latest propane-powered track dryer, the NT6. This dryer will be added to NASCAR’s fleet of track drying tools and used alongside existing solutions like the Air Tundras and traditional jet dryers during race events.
NT6 Propane Powered Track Dryer
The NT6 dryer is built to deliver powerful performance with a combination of 6 million BTUs of heat, a high-powered blower, and user-friendly operation. It represents HTL’s newest innovation, specifically engineered to meet the demands of racetrack environments.
As part of this collaboration, NASCAR will begin deploying the NT6 at select Cup Series events later in the season. In addition to supplying the equipment, HTL will provide training and maintenance support to ensure optimal performance. The NT6 is expected to be a visible part of NASCAR’s track drying efforts throughout the 2025 season.
Koch Applied Supplies Cincinnati Fan HTF Axial Fan
Koch Applied Solutions has been supplying fans to HTL Technologies for over 15 years through our relationship with Cincinnati Fan. We worked closely with the HTL team to design and select a fan that is driven by the propane engine in the NT6 track dryer. This model uses a Cincinnati Fan HTF Axial fan with a special prop to produce airflow at a high enough velocity to remove debris from the track and provide faster drying. HTL then mounts the propane fired burner in the discharge of the fan to provide heat for the drying process.
Helping HTL to Meet a Key Goal
With nearly two decades of experience producing surface drying equipment for airports, railways, and paving companies, HTL has been expanding its presence into motorsports. The introduction of the NT6 marks a major step forward for the company in reaching its longtime goal of supporting racetrack operations.
Koch Applied is proud to have been involved in the development of this product.
