Direct Coil

Direct Coil manufacturers custom-designed round tube plate fin heat exchangers (coils) for the OEM, custom and replacement markets. Coils can be specified using their proprietary coil selection software based on their size or performance. Direct Coil offers a wide range of tube sizes, fin spacing, and coil connection orientations allow for a drop-in coil fit. Coils are 100 percent pressure tested for leaks to ensure quality.

Water Coils

Direct Coil Water Coils are designed for comfort conditioning and heating applications that have been extensively tested for heat transfer between air and fluid (water or water-glycol mixtures).

  • Turbulators are available for applications that require additional capacity at a lower flow rate.
  • Chilled Water coils can be constructed with intermediate drain pans, to avoid moisture carryover on taller coils.

Evaporator Coils

Direct Coil Evaporator Coils (aka Direct Expansion Coils) are designed to deliver maximum heat transfer efficiency under a wide range of operating conditions. A wide variety of coil circuiting is available, including Interlaced/Face split to meet performance requirements.

  • Evaporator coils are counterflow circuited with optimized size suction headers and refrigerant distributors.
  • Distributor tubes are equal lengths to ensure equal distribution of refrigerant into each circuit.
  • Coils are manufactured with the highest quality materials and standards to ensure product durability under thermal expansion and vibration.

Condenser Coils

Direct Coil Condenser Coils are designed for the high pressure and temperature associated with refrigeration condensing.

  • Used for condensing or heat reclaim applications.
  • Coils are engineered to work with a large variety of refrigerants.
  • Coils are manufactured with the highest quality materials and standards to ensure product durability under thermal expansion and vibration.

Steam Coils

Direct Coil Steam Coils are made with heavy walled copper tubes and headers and are available with a variety of connection locations and casing options to meet any mounting configuration.

  • Suitable for a wide range of heating applications such as preheat, boosters, reheat, duct heaters, process air & gas, and many more.
  • Distribution steam coils (non-freeze, tube-in-tube) are available for applications where condensate freezing is a concern.

Booster Coils

Direct Coil Booster Coils are designed to maximize capacity in applications where water flow is limited. High performance is achieved through the coil circuiting, which increases water velocity.

  • Offered with 1 – 4 rows of continuous tubes.
  • MPT connections are provided at the inlet and outlet tube locations.
  • Slip and Drive or Standard casing options are available.
