A watertube boiler is a type of boiler in which water circulates inside tubes heated externally by the combustion of fuel, typically natural gas or fuel oil, but increasingly biogas, hydrogen, and other green fuels. The combustion gasses flow around these water-filled tubes, transferring heat to generate steam or hot water. Watertube boilers characteristics include:

  • Production of high-pressure steam
  • Ability to manage large and varying loads
  • Efficiency in producing hot water and low-pressure steam for process loads
  • Durability and safety
  • Ability to meet strict emissions requirements.

They are widely used in power plants, industrial facilities, and large-scale heating systems.
